Niuean Language Week

Happy Niuean language week everyone, I hope you all had a great holidays. Since its Niuean language week im going to be sharing some facts i learnt about Niue this week.

Niuean Facts

One fact that caught my eye was that, the island is commonly called "The Rock" a reference to Niue being one of the biggest raised coral islands in the world.

Fact 2

Niue is an elevated coral atoll with fringing coral reefs encircling steep limestone cliffs. It has a landmass of 259 km and its highest point is about 60 meters above sea level.

Fact 3

Niue has a humble population of around 1,600 residents, while a whopping 22,200 Niuean's live in New Zealand. Niuean's have New Zealand citizenship making living and travelling overseas a breeze. This statistic also means that there are more people speaking Niue’s native language, Vagahau Niue or Niuean, overseas than in Niue

Thats all for today. I hope you all have a great day or night. Bye bloggers.😊
